Everglades, Dry Tortugas Back in Business

Two weeks after Hurricane Katrina roared through them, officials are reopening sections of Everglades and Dry Tortugas national parks that were shut down for cleanup.
According to The Associated Press, Dry Tortugas was back in the tourism business as of Saturday, September 10th, following repairs to its docks, buildings and communications system.
While the Flamingo section of Everglades also reopened, the Flamingo Lodge and its cabins and stores remain closed for the time-being. If you're thinking of heading down to Flamingo, be sure to pack your own food and fuel, as none is currently available there.
