Share

Great Smoky Mountains National Park officials are closing Sparks Lane in Cades Cove through Monday, November 12, to repair the low-water crossing across Sea Branch near the south end of Sparks Lane.

Park crews will be using heavy equipment to remove the concrete structure currently in place at the crossing. Following the removal, crews will build concrete forms to rebuild a new, low-water crossing and approach ramps. Pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists are restricted from the using the roadway throughout the closure period.

The work was scheduled to start Monday, October 29.
