Traffic Limitations Likely Coming To Moose-Wilson Road In Grand Teton National Park

A main attraction of fall in Grand Teton National Park is slowly cruising the Moose-Wilson Road to take in the changing colors and catch sights of bears munching through berry-laden bushes and moose browsing riparian vegetation. Under a plan park officials are backing, there could be days during the peak visitation windows in summer and fall when you'll have to wait your turn to enjoy the drive.

Cape Hatteras National Seashore Officials To Examine Factors Affecting Shorebirds, Sea Turtles

Cape Hatteras National Seashore will conduct a science workshop to evaluate factors affecting shorebirds and sea turtles on Seashore beaches. The workshop will take place from September 26-27 at: Ramada Plaza Nags Head Oceanfront, 1701 S Virginia Dare Trail, Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948. A draft agenda will be circulated approximately one week ahead of the workshop.

Yosemite National Park Grows By 400 Acres With Donation Of Meadow

This week, Yosemite National Park grew by 400 acres, its largest expansion in nearly six decades, with the donation of wetlands and meadow habitat along the park’s western boundary. The land, known as Ackerson Meadow, was donated through the cooperative efforts of the Trust for Public Land, Yosemite Conservancy, and the National Park Service.
