In a bid to see lodging facilities established at Flamingo in Everglades National Park by September 2018, the National Park Service is offering a $5 million enticement to the concessionaire that wins the contract. The money would be used to pay for construction of lodging and visitor facilities at Flamingo.

Volunteer Helps Los Angeles Discover Its Place On Juan Bautista De Anza National Historic Trail

On May 14, volunteers will celebrate their heritage in a first-of-its kind event for Los Angeles’ Griffith Park — Anza Rides Again, a colorful re-enactment of the 1775-76 Anza Expedition. A volunteer team of equestrians will portray Spanish soldiers and their wives, depicting the arrival of settler families to Alta California.
